There’s something extra special about photographing families you’ve built a connection with over time. I first met Arlo’s mama a couple of years ago through her cousin Lala, and since then, it’s been such a joy watching her journey unfold.
From capturing their beautiful engagement photos to now welcoming their sweet baby boy into the world… moments like this are why I love what I do.
Arlo’s White Space newborn session was everything I adore—simple, calm, and full of meaning. With soft textures, neutral tones, and the focus entirely on him, we were able to capture just how tiny and perfect he is in this stage.
He was so peaceful throughout the session, snuggled up with his little teddy and wrapped in the softest layers. These are the moments that pass so quickly, but photos like these let you hold onto them just a little longer.
One of my favourite parts of this session was seeing his parents with him—completely in love, soaking in every little detail. There’s nothing quite like those first days, and being trusted to capture that connection is something I never take for granted.
What makes this even more special?
I get to continue this journey with them.
They’ve signed up for my monthly Pop-In Portraits, which means I’ll get to watch Arlo grow throughout his first year—capturing all those milestones, expressions, and personality changes along the way.
And honestly… that’s the best part.
